Ocean Frontiers: The Dawn of a New Era in Ocean Stewardship, Ralf Meyer, USA, 2011
With Earth's burgeoning populace facing an uncertain future on our beleaguered blue planet, never before have the world's oceans been called upon to serve so many, while suffering so much. Here we meet an intermingling of unlikely allies, of industrial shippers and whale biologists, pig farmers and wetland ecologists, sport fishers and reef snorkellers and many more, all of them embarking on a new course of cooperation, in defence of the seas that sustain them.

Also showing:
Saving Valentina, Michael Fishbach, USA, 2011
A real life story of saving a humpback whale on Valentines Day, in the Sea of Cortez. Michael Fishbach narrates his encounter with a humpback whale entangled in a fishing net. Gershon Cohen and he have founded The Great Whale Conservancy to protect whales.
