All Ages

Learn the age-old art of preserving in-season fruit so it will last you through the winter. Fill our pantry with jams and conserves, jars of bottled fruit, chutneys, pickles and relishes.

Bottling - Sunday 11th March, 11.15am
Learn how to bottle fruits using waterbath, overflow and oven techniques. This class will discuss the merits of each and cover practical examples.

Jams and Fruit Conserves - Sunday 18th March, 11.15 am
This class covers how to make the perfect jam and fruit conserve. Learn how to test for setting point, how to manage pectin and how to prevent common mistakes.

Pickles and Chutneys - Sunday 1st April, 11.15 am
Learn how to make delicious and decorative pickled vegetables and how to make a vegetable chutney. We will discuss the pros and cons of different recipes and what can go wrong.
