The North Shore Junior Orchestra and the North Shore Children's Choir started their annual combined concerts 10 years ago and this year will be performing at the Bruce Mason Centre along with the other groups that have evolved to become North Shore Youth Music. North Shore Youth Music is the umbrella organisation for North Shore Voices (which includes North Shore Songsters, North Shore Children's Choir and North Shore Youth Choir) and the North Shore Junior Orchestra and North Shore Youth Orchestra. Over 150 young people from ages 5 - 22 will be performing throughout the evening, culminating in a massed item at the end of the night.
The pieces being performed range from Borodin and Beethoven, through to a tribute to Robert Sherman who wrote songs such as Supercalifragilistic and It's a Small World.
