The New Zealand Culinary Fare will open its doors to the public for one day only. Primarily a trade event, the New Zealand Culinary Fare is the largest culinary competition in the Southern Hemisphere, playing host to more than 1,000 competitors across 66 classes, and 6,000 visitors.
The New Zealand Culinary Fare open day allows New Zealanders to come along and experience what the hospitality industry has to offer.
The free open day promises to be a fun day out for the whole family with a variety of activities including;
• Free bacon butties from Kiwi Bacon between 8am-10am
• Half price morning coffees from The Coffee Club between 7am-10am
• George FM onsite
• Chef of the Year finals (including 90 minute cook-off)
• Cocktail competitions
• Margarine sculpture
• Loads of giveaways.
In its 20th year, the New Zealand Culinary Fare contributes approximately $1 million to Auckland’s economy, and brings together many community sectors across New Zealand who compete in, support and watch the competitions.
