New Music Collective is excited to be kicking off our fortnightly Thursdays again, now at a new venue. Each night is themed with two bands of a similar style but with their own thing going on.

All genres are celebrated and it’s a chance to see new collaborations between musicians and artists in Christchurch and beyond.

Pastels
Pastels are a recently conceived ensemble formed by Symon Palmer. The band has a focus on original composition relevant to the current creative climate and consists of Symon Palmer on bass, Chris Burke on tenor, Harry Knight on guitar and Jonty O’Connor on drums.

The Silhouette of Mr Pink
In preparation for a musical odyssey up to Auckland in the next few months the trio of Mike, Tam and Andy revisit original compositions that Tamara wrote in Paris inspired by the images and various characters she happened upon the way.

Featuring: Tamara Smith (flute), Andy Keegan (drums), Michael Story (bass).
