The ultimate line-up:
Little Man Big
From the UK scene that gave the world Inland Knights and DiY, Gavin Belton has released records as To-Ka Project, LoMotion and The Littlemen. He's recorded for Drop Music, Nightshift, Lowdown and his own Mobile Trax imprint. This is a rare visit to New Zealand from one of the world's most in-demand deep house producers.
The UK turntablist has DJed from Europe's Alps to Thailand's beaches for almost 25 years. At the UK B-Boy Championships he shared the stage with Kurtis Blow, the Scratch Perverts and more. He was scratch DJ for Shorty, the London band remixed by Fat Freddy's Drop. His Take It 2 the Bridge crew has smashed up Glastonbury more than a dozen times.
Reed & Radley
Making waves around the world with their deep and driving house releases for New Zealand's Grass Green Recordings, Chris Reed and Paul Radley are founding members of the Mum's The Word crew. They co-host George FM's English Breakfast show.
Jay 'Fat Albert' Jeffrey
Jamiroqui's former tour DJ has opened for James Brown, rocked it with Chaka Khan, De La Soul and Norman Jay, and jammed with Masters at Work in Ibiza. With a killer taste in all things disco, funk, soul and rare groove, not to mention some nifty patter on the mic, Jay's set last NYE was one of the highlights of a killer night.
At the forefront of New Zealand's burgeoning disco scene, the mysterious Monkey Boots have won plaudits from the likes of Nick Warren and Late Nite Tuff Guy for their Whitworth Strut EP on Grass Green. They'll be previewing the follow-up exclusively on NYE.
With more than 20 years of DJing behind him, Andy is one of the most influential figures in the Auckland scene. He's played all the city's key clubs and done more than most to promote dance culture. He's the mastermind behind Grass Green, a label started to take the cream of New Zealand deep house and disco to the world.
The local legend is one of the most knowledgeable DJs around, with sets encompassing everything from Latin and dub to party-rockin' hip hop and disco. The Turnaround co-founder and former Khuja Lounge resident has worked in some of the world's best record shops - bringing that knowledge home to Conch, the store he co-owns in Ponsonby.
The Mum's The Word resident is crafting a reputation for silky smooth deep house sets and his music-making's not too shabby either. With releases on US label Omi Tutu, NZ imprint 'Them on the Hill' and a remix for Jason Eli under his belt, the studio wizard's latest project is an EP for Grass Green.
