Dedicated to supporting and bringing 100% New Zealand Music back to Wellington, San Fran have another impeccable showcase of everything soulful, spacey with always the promise of some eclectic stuttered hip hop groove.

After releasing his brand new album, 'Glimpse' (on UK heavyweight label, BBE, and boutique Japanese label, Wonderful Noise) earlier this year, Aucklander Julien Dyne is another uber-talented local drummer whose multi-disciplinary skills have been on display with a broad range of recently successful acts.

He has been the drummer for Opensouls and Tyra & the Tornadoes, whilst also working on recordings for Fat Freddys Drop, Ladi6, Nathan Haines, Chris Cox, James Duncan, Hollie Smith, Eru Dangerspiel and Sola Rosa among others.

Julien attended the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy in Rome in 2004 and was invited back to work with the Mizell Brothers (Donald Byrd, Motown etc), Theo Parrish, Steve Spacek (Africa Hitech), Mark Pritchard (Harmonic 313/ Africa Hitech), Om’mas Keith (SA-RA), Andreya Triana and others as part of the a class of its own recording sessions in Cologne in 2007.

Is there anyone in our neck of the woods that he hasn't worked with...?

Julien's debut solo full length album ‘pins and digits’ received air time and high praise from highly regarded BBC taste maker DJs, Gilles Peterson and Benji B, featuring on both DJs' top 100 lists of 2009. His next solo instalment will no doubt gain popularity in a similar fashion.

Brent "Parks" Park, Ladi6's producer and life-long partner, has featured on Dyne's album will be providing support along with a raft of local Wellington DJs:

Flying Nun's Alphabethead:

Fried Chicken's Sound System's Marek:
