This is “it!” For the third year Paihia is holding the succesful 'it' Bay of Islands Food and Wine Festival - "it" is the event not to be missed - Love it! Cook it! Drink it! Bite it! Sing it! A successful recipe of fantastic food, wine, entertainment and friendly locals all mixed up together in the Bay of Islands. Set on the Paihia Village Green in the heart of Paihia which is under a minutes walk to the waterfront.

Delicious mouthwatering food... whitebait fritters, mussels, lamb, beef, asian flavours, oysters, delectable desserts, fudge, seafood and many other tantalising delights! We have a large range of Northlands award winning and boutique vineyards plus beer and cider.

Real kiwi competitions keeping us all entertained as a spectator or a competitior - “Kina Sucking”, “Oyster Shucking and Eating” and of course "Pie Eating!" - we are in Pai-hia after all!

All day entertainment with well known NZ artists and icons;
Josh Leys
The Dozen
Soljah
The Jordan Luck Band - singing all your Dance Exponents favourites!

New this year in the competition tent there will be chef demonstrations by top local chefs who will impart some of their culinary knowledge!

Kids!
This is a family friendly festival with a childrens area and entertainment provided to allow parents to sit back and enjoy the music and taste some of the exceptional food and beverages! So we have a magician, fairies and bouncy castles. Kids under 5 are free.

Right beside the festival we have Williams Rd with great shopping, bars and cafes. Limited number of tickets will be available - Tickets on sale 1st August 2012.

The Bay of Islands is a top holiday destination that has retained it’s small friendly feel - there is plenty to do around the town whether it be to take a boat trip to see the dolphins, have a swim, kayak, visit Waitangi or head into the bush. Or you can just sit in one of the many cafes and watch the world go by!
