This is a 1-day intensive storytelling and filmmaking workshop, designed for up to 20 senior secondary schools students. It’s a dynamic programme that supports participants to explore 21st century challenges and leadership; to develop their storytelling, camera and editing skills; and to kick-start a short film for the nationwide Inspiring Stories Film Competition.

We shall bring together aspiring young filmmakers, creative industry mentors, and local leaders who present on innovative community projects happening locally.

The workshop is run by two internationally award-winning young New Zealand filmmakers from the Inspiring Stories Trust. Our workshops are supported by the New Zealand Film Commission and various Creative Communities Schemes.

Participants must reserve a spot through the online registration on the Inspiring Stories website: http://www.inspiringstories.org.nz/2012-workshop-student-registration/

Inspiring Stories Trust will cover $10 of the $25 workshop fee. The workshop fee also allows each participant free entry for one film into this year's Inspiring Stories Film Competition, which closes July 31st.
