NZ chefs including Master Chef Winner 2011 Nadia Lim and Restaurateur of the year Jonny Schwass will judge the following categories and you can now sample the very best of Farmers' Market products at the public tasting from 5.30 pm until 7 pm.

Sample NZ's best produce fresh from the farm gate to the dinner plate. Tickets are limited and only $20 to taste the very best of Farmers' Markets produce from Bluff to Bay of Islands all in one place.

Best Food producer from the Kitchen Bench - Food produced from the Kitchen Bench, preserves, pickles, jams, relishes, breads, cakes and puddings.

Freshest Producer from the Water - NZ food produced from any product from the sea, rivers, lakes and ocean.

Tastiest Food producer from the Butchery - NZ's best animal product, bacon, smallgoods, primecuts and butchery.

Freshest Food producer from the Paddock - For the best fresh produce product from the field, carrots, onions, garlic, lettuces, fruit and vegetables etc.

Creamiest Food producer from the Dairy- To the producer who sells at farmers markets any product from the dairy, cheese, curd, etc

The annual Taste Farmers’ Markets Awards is open until June 3rd and it allows Localvores to vote for the Farmers' Markets from Invercargill to Bay of Islands and everywhere in between. One lucky voter will also be jetting off to Melbourne for their own private tour of Victoria’s Authentic Farmers’ Markets over a mouthwatering long weekend. All winning producers will be announced at the Farmers' Market NZ conference on the 1-3rd of July in Auckland. For all voting results to date go to www.tastefarmersmarkets.org.nz
