Welcome to Hammerheads, an iconic Auckland restaurant situated on one of the world’s most spectacular waterfront drives, just five minutes from downtown Auckland, next to Kelly Tarltons Underwater World.
In 1990 the landmark 19th century building at Okahu Bay was developed into a restaurant. From the day it opened it became a favourite place for Aucklanders and visitors to enjoy fine NZ food and wine served by friendly staff in beautiful surroundings.
A fire severely damaged the restaurant bar in February 2011, so the entire bar has been rebuilt, the restaurant refurbished, and a new menu and wine list created to celebrate Hammerheads re-opening in August 2011.
Hammerheads specialise in the freshest seafood and also feature the best NZ beef, lamb and venison. Wines have been carefully selected from throughout NZ to complement the food at reasonable prices.
