Modern life can be busy and stressful and we seldom feel like we can truly relax. Most of the tension we feel is due to the way we think and react to the different situations in our life. In this talk, Gen Kelsang Rabten will explain the role our mind plays in all our experiences and how, through learning to control and transform our mind in meditation, we can finally find the peace, stillness and happiness we long for.

Everyone is welcome and booking is not required.

Gen Kelsang Rabten is the National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition for New Zealand and Australia. Gen Rabten has trained under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for more than fifteen years. His deep faith in Buddha’s teachings and the sincerity of his practice inspire many people to embark on a meaningful and rich spiritual life.

He will travel around the country, giving free public talks in Wellington, Nelson and Palmerston North; full-day teachings in Christchurch and Auckland.

The Wellington talk will take place in the Mezzanine Community Room at Wellington Central Library.

Wellington: 10 April (Tuesday)
Palmerston North: 11 April (Wednesday)
