Papakura Theatre Company presents Footrot Flats - a real Kiwi comedy!

Book by Roger Hall
Music by Philip Norman
Lyrics by A K Grant
Based on original characters created by Murray Ball

What do dogs, gumboots, sheep, pigs, tree-huggers and cats all have in common? Well, they're all to be found around Wal Footrot, owner of Footrot Flats farm - a good Kiwi bloke who is doing his best to run the place but he's not the freshest of hay bales in the shed!

Directed by Terri de'Ath, with Musical Director Paul G Radden, Footrot Flats is a real Kiwi family comedy based on Murray Ball's much loved comic strip. All the familiar characters appear led by Wal and Dog - there are favourites like Pongo, Wal's mischievious niece; Wal's mate Cooch the tree-hugger (watch out - don't tread on that ant!); Aunt Dolly and her precious Corgi; and Cheeky Hobson (Wal's shapely townie girlfriend) along with a cat called Horse, a pig who really rocks, a ram who can't be bothered, and even sheep who dance!

The comment has been made that at first glance, Footrot Flats seems to be all about sex, whether it's humans or animals! But rest assured it's all good, clean family fun!

Tickets also available in person at Papakura Paper Power, Gt South Road, Papakura.
