WIFT is delighted to invite you to an exclusive preview screening of a film produced by WIFT member Alex Cole-Baker, The Most Fun You Can Have Dying.

The film is a debut for both writer/director Kirstin Marcon and producer Alex Cole-Baker based on Steven Gannaway's 2003 debut novel Seraphin Blues. The story sees handsome young Hamilton man Michael - played by 2010 Qantas Film & TV Awards winner and lead actor of My Wedding and Other Secrets Matt Whelan - discover some devastating news. He has only two months to live. Desperate to live fast and die young, he steals the money raised for his treatment, setting off a chain of events which find him taking comfort in the arms of a sensuous young French woman, Sylvie, half-way round the world. The story is very much a New Zealand story played out on an international setting.

Come for some networking at the Rialto Bar at 7.30pm before the screening at 8.15pm.

Both writer/director Kirstin Marcon and producer Alex Cole-Baker will be present to introduce the film and answer any questions afterwards.
