- inspire new ways of thinking and acting
- promote connections among people in the ethnic community and the mainstream
- provide a platform for practical learning

- the new Parliamentary Private Secretary for Ethnic Affairs, Melissa Lee, MP
- the 2010 New Zealander of the Year, Sir Ray Avery
- poet, playwright and paediatrician, Renee Liang

Workshops on:
- social enterprise
- international education
- family violence
- using interpretation
