Guitarist/composer Steve Erquiaga's career has touched many areas of the music world. He has recorded and toured with such varied artists as Bobby McFerrin, Joe Henderson, Les McCann, John Scofield, David Byrne, The Turtle Island String Quartet, Paulo Bellinati, Jim Nichols, Paul Hanson, Andy Narell, and Paul McCandless. Steve's recently released CD "Cafe Paradiso" (Imaginary Road Records) was on the Billboard Classical/Crossover chart for 11 weeks, reaching #10.
"Erkiology", released in 1992, features Peter Erskine, Jimmy Johnson, Bob Sheppard and other noted players. It reached #3 on the jazz airplay charts.

He appears on many of the Windham Hill compilation albums such as "Winter Solstice III, IV and V", "The Impressionists", "The Romantics", and "The Bach Variations". Bassoonist Paul Hanson’s musical journey is a testament of fearless dedication to craft and creativity. Over the last 20 years, Paul has rewritten the rulebook and set new standards for what is possible on this most classical of woodwind instruments. As one reviewer puts it, “but he simply transcends technique to a point where the listener no longer has in mind that it’s a bassoon that he’s playing.”

As an improvising bassoonist, Paul has recorded and/or performed with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Wayne Shorter, Peter Erskine, Billy Childs, Billy Higgins, Ray Charles, Charlie Hunter, Patrice Rushen, Alex Acuna, Dennis Chambers, Abraham Laboriel, Medeski Martin & Wood, and the Hieroglyphics Ensemble. In 2008, Paul was invited to create his own role as electric improvising bassoonist in Cirque Du Soleil’s ZED - a resident show at Tokyo Disney Resort. Add to this bassist Tom Warrington who has performed with Joe La Barbera, Larry Koonse, Freddie Hubbard, Bill Cunliffe and the Buddy Rich Big Band.

Lauren Ellis, who has recently graduated from the New Zealand School of Music, will hold down the drum chair. Supporting artists: The 101 Lab Band is a 14-20 piece guitar group for new performers led by Manawatu guitar tutor Kevin Downing. The participants are mainly all students of Kevin Downing.
