A presentation not to be missed!

“Shopping streets that hinder pedestrians along with poor public transport risk losing business and productivity.” - Dr Rodney Tolley

Thought provoking speaker Dr Rodney Tolley Programme Director for the International Walk21 Conference series will speak about creating a walking friendly shopping precinct.

Walk21 has presented a strong business case for improving walking and cycling conditions at conferences in New York, London, Vancouver - and now Hastings.

Around the world, more and more cities and towns are creating pedestrian-friendly urban areas by enhancing their quality and environment, which in turn improves the vitality of the area. The creation of a safe and attractive walking environment in towns and cities is a necessary condition for success and is vital for improving them for shoppers, visitors, workers and residents alike.
