Celebrate the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens when award-winning British actress Miriam Margolyes returns to New Zealand for an encore national tour of her one-woman show, Dickens’ Women.

Bringing to life twenty-three of Charles Dickens’ most affecting and colourful characters, Margolyes presents her powerful, comprehensive, and at times hilarious exposé of Dickens the writer and the man, and the real-life women who found themselves immortalised on his pages.

An international icon of stage and screen, Miriam Margolyes is one of the world’s most celebrated character actors. She is known for her many film, television and stage roles, including Martin Scorsese's Age of Innocence, Baz Lurhmann's Romeo + Juliet, Happy Feet, Yentl, Blackadder, as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, and as Madame Morrible in the Broadway and West End productions of Wicked.

Nominated for an Olivier Award and with tours throughout the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand and India, don’t miss your chance to see this acclaimed actor in her heartfelt dedication to one of the best-loved and most prolific writers of the English language.

Join us for a post-performance Q&A with acclaimed actor Miriam Margolyes.
Paid refreshments will be available from the bar.
