While the ability to innovate is a highly prized skill within 21st century economies, meanings of creativity can vary widely in different cultural contexts. With New Zealand’s growing social, cultural and economic engagement with China, exploring these meanings of creativity can be central to cross-cultural endeavours.

Many staff and students across all of the NICAI disciplines are engaged in ongoing research and teaching collaborations in China. Join us for this event where they share their experiences of these initiatives, and discuss the challenges of establishing mutual creative goals with partners in China.

This event is part of The University of Auckland Postgraduate Fair, a two-day showcase of postgraduate study and research.

Postgraduate study at NICAI opens up a wealth of academic and professional career opportunities in the creative arts and industries. As well as the panel discussion there will be the opportunity to gather information about postgraduate study options, meet academic staff and students and talk to us about specific programmes, scholarships, careers prospects and how to apply.

Refreshments will be available. Registration is essential.
