Join us for a thought-provoking and inspiring evening of award-winning New Zealand films made by emerging Kiwi filmmakers.

Two sessions:
(Matinee) Saturday, April 21st, 3-5pm and 7-9pm.

Cost: Koha on the door.

Films to be screened include:

"Carving the Future"
Four passionate young Kiwis lead grassroots community projects around climate change.

"Bellah"
Supreme Winner for the 2011 Inspiring Stories Film Competition

"Why Families Matter"
A story about the Victory Village Community

“Bikes for Africa"
Nelson local Hap Cameron’s quest to help implement a self sustainable bike workshop in rural Nambia

“River Dog”
Award-winning doco about a farmer and his team of dogs who work to protect the Pahaoa River

The Inspiring Stories Trust is a local charitable organisation with the goal of spreading change through the power of storytelling.

“We hope to give visibility to positive role models that empower and inspire young people,” says Guy Ryan, CEO of Inspiring Stories Trust and award-winning emerging New Zealand filmmaker.

As part of its 2012 programme the Trust will be visiting 21 locations around the country from April - June, holding community film screenings, running filmmaking workshops in secondary schools, and promoting the Inspiring Stories Film Competition.
