The NZ House & Garden Tours return to Canterbury in 2012, giving you the chance to take a peek inside some of the region's most spectacular homes and gardens, all in aid of two very special charities.
Following the devastating February 22 earthquake, the 2011 Christchurch Tour was cancelled.
On Friday March 2, 2012, the tours return to the region, proudly celebrating the stunning homes and gardens Canterbury has to offer. For the first time, the event will be going country and opening the doors on some of North Canterbury’s most delightful rural properties, many of which have never been opened to the public before.
Canterbury will kick off the national NZ House & Garden Tours, now in their fourth year; Auckland, Kapiti Coast and Queenstown Lakes tours will follow during March.
This unique fundraising event aims to raise more than $200,000 for The Cancer Society of New Zealand and Look Good Feel Better charities to help reduce the incidence and impact of cancer, as well as promote the confidence and well-being of women currently undergoing treatment. All proceeds received are being allocated to the six regional divisions of The Cancer Society of New Zealand and the regional branches of Look Good Feel Better, according to where the ticket purchasers live. This allows everyone who supports the event to help people affected by cancer in their own community.
Step inside the pages of NZ House & Garden this March, enjoy an outing with family and friends, be inspired and support two wonderful charities all in one very special day out.
Tour details and maps will be sent out approximately one week before the event. There will be no door sales, no children and, apologies, no wheelchair access.
