In this rollicking comic adventure set in 1949 against a background of horseracing, gambling, fast cars and loose women, two conmen who have been cheating bookmakers all over New Zealand meet their match at a little town called Tainuia Junction. A Kiwi favourite for our closing night of the season.

This winter, Queenstown Film Society has 25 screening nights of black & white classics, recent world cinema, documentaries and the best of New Zealand's local talent, all in the comfort of Dorothy Browns luxurious arthouse cinema. New members can join before any screening, or take advantage of a three-film sampler - an ideal taster.
