2012 NZ International Comedy Festival presents a free pre-festival special event!

Who let the dogs out!?

Clean out those pooperscoopers and polish up those diamante-encrusted dog collars for you and your furry friend to get your ‘arf on! As the 20th NZ International Comedy Festival play host to their very first dog show.

Not only will there be some of our favourite local comedians MCing and judging the event but you and your best mate will be privy to some stellar stand-up comedy. And if that’s not enough we’ll also throw in a screening of your favourite mockumentary, 'Best In Show'.

I suppose you’re thinking what kind of price you’d pay for something outrageously fab as this...? Two words; free event! (We can see your tails wagging in excitement).

To kick off the bark-fest we want you and your favourite doggy pals to register online and join the party. The dog show is open to one and all but there are limited spaces so you have to get in quick!

The categories are... drum roll please;
- Best costume
- Special talent
- Hot dog or best in show (voted by the public)

With Masterpet prizes up for grabs and of course the honour of winning, George FM DJs providing the beats, street food and craft market stalls you won’t want to miss out on this fun free event - head to www.comedyfestival.co.nz for more information and to register your dog now!

So, head down for the canine event of the year!

Activity starts
2pm - Market and food stalls
3pm - George FM DJs
4pm - Best In Show Dog Show
6pm - Stand-Up Comedy Showcase
6.30pm - ‘Best In Show’ screening
