Queer today, gone tomorrow - if there was a pill to make you straight, would you take it?

Sandwiched between the unrequited love of a straight best friend and a gay scene devoid of the intimacy he craves, Tim enrols in a controversial drug trial to change his orientation.

His close circle of friends have mixed reactions: party boy Joey is disgusted at what he sees as a betrayal, while lonely Sally sees it as a chance for a romance she'd long given up hope on. No-one is prepared for the effect Tim's choice will have on their lives, least of all Tim himself.

With its frightening "what if" scenario, "Hard Pill" will make you think twice about the world you live in. It's a thought-provoking drama that sticks a knife through the heart of the "ex-gay" movement and raises serious questions about where true happiness comes from.

Rating: R16 - sex scenes, offensive language, and content that may disturb, 80 mins.
