Directed by Ewen Coleman.
Oscar Wilde had two big hits on the London stage in the early part of 1895. "An Ideal Husband" was staged in January and "The Importance of Being Earnest" in February. While the second play is the more famous, the first is just as witty, stylish and entertaining. It will be the Hutt Repertory’s July production.
The text of An Ideal Husband is brought to life on the Hutt Repertory stage by experienced director Ewen Coleman and an energetic cast. Fans of Downton Abbey and Upstairs Downstairs will particularly enjoy this show. The large cast features long standing Hutt Rep members, returning members, and new comers.
Proceeds from the opening night on 4 July will be donated to Te Omanga Hospice.
The Sunday matinee is almost full and the Saturday matinee is filling fast so book soon if you prefer a day time performance.
