Hieronymus Bosch:
Formed during the original Lange/Douglas regime of the mid 80s back when New Zealand was the Garden of Earthly Delights, these reluctanct champions and pioneers of New Zealand industrial music have emerged from the pit to unveil their latest horrors. A ritualistc frenzied attack on the structures of society or the musical equivalent of a white picket fenced family homestead nestled in netherworlds of fantasy and escapism?

Mothers of Darkness:
No other bands quite manage to give surfing the sense of depression, isolation and claustrophobic, lost highway good vibrations that Mothers of Darkness do.

Undiscovered Moons of Saturn:
Do you know what really makes me smile? Facial muscles, facial muscles and UMOS. As I'm sure many of you already know, Sean O'Kane Connolly (of In Dread Response) has many alter eagles. This one caters to his 1950s sci-fi films inspired psychedellic synth and drone.

The Hidden Lakes of Titan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgwf7z-HDKo

Mellow Grave:
Witch House - yep it's still in. The name given to describe a subgenre of industrial music, which features a prominent Dirty South percussive element and carries the signifiers of noise, drone, depression - being that of atonal layered chords and soundscape-like synth creating an aesthetically referential sinister atmosphere.

The Black Sisters:
The two members of breakcore act Anti-Kati join the two core members of industrial act N.U.T.E to perform harmonic feedback, harsh noise and synth-based unconcious faux thug.

Inside Arkham:
Metal! Dark, crunchy thrash, grind core and metal to shove all in your ears. I get the feeling the new PA at Whammy is about to get thoroughy tested. To quote them "sounds like: a good excuse to binge drink".

Toy Triptech:
Famed Irish hobbit Colin Woods pairs up with renowned improvised drone guitarist Rohan Evans, who coincidentally owns the Wine Cellar and Whammy Bar, to display their skills as live and improvisational electronic musicians. As talented as they are mature. And they're very mature.

It's Always Last Tuesday Somewhere:

Musician, computer programmer, noise label head honcho.
Musician, computer programmer, noise label head honcho.
You guessed it, we're talking about one person. Peter Varg. Set your ears for high tolerance, when Peter breaks out the general midi and casiotone we are often asked "who let the dogs out?". WOOF !
