The Feelers

Internationally renowned Christchurch band, The Feelers, Unites with Christchurch Cathedral Choir for fundraiser.

When Christchurch born band, The Feelers, take the stage at Christ’s College on November 5th 2011 they will be playing with an unusual partner - the ChristChurch Cathedral Choir. These two icons of New Zealand music will perform together in a fund raising concert.

The performance will feature songs by The Feelers, the Cathedral Choir and the two performing together.

James Reid, lead singer of The Feelers, says, “It is great to be able to continue our support of Christchurch with this concert. For me, the Cathedral has always been the heart of our city and it seems fitting that through music we can help to rebuild it. I have many fond memories of singing in the Cathedral, so I am very excited to be performing with the Cathedral Choir. It's a great opportunity to rework some of our songs to give them more of a classical twist. I think the blend of the two styles of music will make for an amazing experience.”

“I am really looking forward to working with The Feelers,” says Brian Law, the Cathedral’s Director of Music. “This is a first for the Choir and will be a radical departure from our usual style. This is music history in the making”.

Concert goers will also be given the choice to purchase VIP tickets which include an exclusive opportunity to mingle with members of The Feelers and the Cathedral Choir after the concert.

Cash bar.
