"It ain’t where you’re from, it’s where you’re at.”

You could’ve been anywhere ‘til now: a Dusted Brother into the Chemicals’ remodelling of old school electro and hip hop history; a head, into the remote, drifting groove of Mo’ Wax; an unashamed jazz-funker who remembers the Lacy Lady and Royalty Ballroom; a hip hop homie hunting down a break; a sweet soul aficionado with talcum powder on your shoes; someone dissolved in acid jazz who has been trying to put your elements back into a more sensible order ever since… Whatever. Now you’re at… not from. And you’re in for a treat.

Here are all the funky jazz jams you can handle, all the breaks that burned the bottoms of your boots, all the crunching rare grooves your hips just can’t resist.

This is people’s music... Beats to move butts and to intellectualise. This is… Straight Up Struttin’
