Te Rūnanga Ā Iwi O NgāPuhi is proudly spearheading Te Tai Tokerau Māori Art Exhibition, the largest and most comprehensive exhibition to date of leading contemporary Northland Māori visual artists.

This is a rare opportunity to see an outstanding collection of works by artists including clay-workers Manos Nathan, Colleen Waata Urlich, Dorothy Waetford, Rhonda Halliday and Davina Duke; carvers Whiu Waata, Bernard Makoare and Will Ngakuru; painters Andrea Hopkins, BJ Ewen, Theresa Reihana and Kura Te Waru Rewiri; painter and printmaker Gabrielle Belz; stained glass artist Kathy Shaw; Ta Moko artist Te Rangitu Netana and Mixed media artists Diane Prince and Toi Maihi, to name just a few!

During the exhibition, contributing artists will be onsite to talk about their work while many of them will also be working in the gallery, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of the works and the artists behind them.

A catalogue showcasing the contributing artists and their work will also be available for sale.

Te Rūnanga Ā Iwi O NgāPuhi is New Zealand's largest iwi, stretching from Tāmaki Makaurau in West Auckland to Cape Reinga in the Far North. Te Tai Tokerau is the northernmost Māori electorate.
