The presence that is awakened through this practice allows us to see what is really here, and relax the many ways our minds can get lost in the movement towards past and future, afflictive judgements and views of ourselves, and our over-active thinking mind.

The four foundations of mindfulness are:
- Awareness grounded in the body;
- Feeling feelings as feelings;
- Receiving our emotions and moods clearly and without guilt, self-blame or shame;
- Deepening into the innate wisdom of the heart.

This four week course will consist of periods of silent sitting, guided meditation, instruction and an opportunity for questions and discussion.

The course is suitable for both beginners to meditation, and also those with prior experience and practice.
