The College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Massey University is running a lecture series on the theme of "Connecting with the Community: Researching the Local".

Members of the public and any interested parties are very welcome to attend.

The third lecture in the series is a presentation by Dr Suzanne Phibbs from the School of Health and Social Services showing how community-based student projects are helping to train researchers of the future. Their work illuminates topics as varied as the student drinking culture in Dunedin, community earthquake recovery in Christchurch, and pedestrian safety for older residents in Feilding.
