Learn about Auckland’s natural biodiversity and join us on a week of exciting conservation projects around Auckland City including Meola Creek and Reef, Miranda Reserve, Oakley Creek and Waiatarua Reserves. You’ll get to go to heaps of interesting places, meet like minded people and learn lots about NZ plants and how to look after our environment. We’ll be carrying out a variety of tasks including weeding around young natives to make sure they stay healthy and strong, litter pickups, and weed identification and removal. If you would like to help on this project you can join for as many days as you like.

Conservation Volunteers provides transport to and from the project from their office in Mt Eden. Gloves and all tools and are provided. Volunteers just need to bring their lunch, a raincoat and sturdy footwear.

If you are interested in getting involved please call Fiona at Conservation Volunteers New Zealand on 0800 56 76 86 or email info@conservationvolunteers.co.nz. Conservation Volunteers New Zealand runs a diverse range of conservation projects throughout New Zealand and you can check these out on their website at www.conservationvolunteers.co.nz.
