Cock & Bull

Emma G is an energetic 22-year old rock chick bursting onto the New Zealand music scene.

Emma G wrote her first successful song, "Look Around", at the tender age of ten which was then recorded and released on Waikato-and-Bay-of-Plenty-based album "The Present". With strong R'n'B influences, local hip hop group "The Native Sons" heard the song and debuted on the track also, bringing a few rhymes to the mix.

Emma G's determination and success at such a young age, won her the opportunity to travel to a world symposium the following year as an ambassador for New Zealand youth in Florida, USA. Returning back to New Zealand, Emma G was filled with a new sense of purpose: to inspire and encourage others to be the best they can be, to stay true to themselves, and to express themselves through her music.

Since then, she has been writing music and performing non-stop. From gigs at various bars in the Waikato and Auckland, to local events such as 2009's Waitangi Day commemorations to busking on the streets of Hamilton and singing on Maori television's Homai te Paki Paki and TV2's The Singing Bee! She also appeared singing and talking about her original music on the 2004 Play it Strange documentary which was aired on TV2 twice.

Emma G has now moved to Auckland and has been doing many solo performances (both original material and covers of artists from AC/DC to Tom Petty to Lady Gaga to Johnny Cash) around the city. She has also joined forces with some top musicians for her all-new soul / hard-rock and band, also called "Emma G" with a debut album in the pipelines.
