Onehunga celebrates its heritage with activities and festivities for all the family in and around Onehunga Mall. This year, with Onehunga supporting Ireland as its adopted second team for Rugby World Cup, Onehunga's Heritage Festival is a celebration of the area's working class roots and vibrant community.

From 11am - 2pm on Saturday, 17th September Onehunga’s Heritage Festival will include heritage crafts, guided heritage walks, horse and cart rides, pony rides, music, entertainment, dancing, face painting, bouncy castle, and more.

A great line-up of other Heritage Festival activities are also offered over the weekend at Onehunga Community House, St Peter’s Church and Jellicoe Park.

Onehunga Shamrock Festival also features two amazing promotions:

1. Leprechaun hunt: Find 10 out of 30 leprechauns hidden in Onehunga shops for a chance to win a pot of gold coins and lots of other gold goodies. Competition runs September 10-17th.

2. Irish passport: Pick up a copy of our "Irish Passport", answer questions about Irish Counties and get your passport stamped at shops and businesses representing 8 of 10 Counties to go in the draw to Win a trip for two to Ireland. Competition runs September 10-30th.
