The Cloud-based Business Toolkit

Learn how to improve communication, collaboration and increase productivity
with a cloud-based business toolkit. Take a guided tour of free online tools
with Helen Baxter from Mohawk Media in this one-day professional development
workshop.

Using a combination of presentations, conversations and personal planning
you will learn how to automate, delegate and manage your business more
efficiently. With tips on how to manage projects, clients and remote teams,
save money on hardware, software, and lower the risk of losing vital data.

This workshop is designed for small to medium sized organisations wanting
simple online solutions to common business problems. Small groups mean more
time to apply learning to your own organisation with personal action plans
to take away. Online resources with links, and podcasts will be provided
after the event. Participants will also be invited to join the Mohawk Media
Network on LinkedIn for ongoing support and advice.

“Helen Baxter (UK/NZ) from Mohawk Media, presented online toolkit workshops
for creative practitioners as part of the PIYN project– with a focus on
income generation, newly developed marketplaces, and developing an effective
online presence.

The workshops have been very enthusiastically received from our network of
creative practitioners, with some commenting this had been the most in depth
and detailed instruction in online tools they had ever attended. Of special
note was both Helen’s personable teaching style and the fantastic online
Mindmaps produced to guide attendees through the tools available.”
Gareth Farry - Arts Manager, The British Council, New Zealand

Trainer:

Helen Baxter has been running internet workshops for over fifteen years. She
has developed and delivered courses in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand,
is a Teaching Fellow at Victoria University, Wellington, an international
keynote speaker and XMediaLab mentor.

Helen writes about digital tools and culture in the MsBehaviour Files at the
Big Idea, and you may have heard her reporting about the virtual world on
Radio New Zealand, or the g33k show on Kiwi FM. She sits on the advisory
boards of Creative Commons Aotearoa and Digital New Zealand, is a judge for
the Yahoo! New Zealand Digital Strategy Awards, and the annual Mix & Mash NZ

"Helen pitched her workshop at just the right level to bring on board those
‘new’ to the online world while also stimulating and challenging us. She is
an incredibly engaging presenter who ‘knows her stuff’ and felt like a
member of the team. People have been asking for more."
Marianne Doczi, Skills Victoria, Melbourne
