Join us for a look at New Zealand’s progress in converting biomaterials into energy. We will learn what’s happened over the past year or two, and what progress is expected to happen in the next few years.

The workshop will look at pelletising, anaerobic digestion, combustion, biofuels (and other biomaterials), short rotation energy crops and will also feature a presentation from Lanzatech, a New Zealand company with global leading technology for producing low carbon transport fuels & sustainably produced chemical intermediates from industrial waste gases and biomass derived syngas.

Workshop to be followed by a luncheon and exhibits. Attendees also have the option of joining a field trip to Mokai on the afternoon of October 13 to see how geothermal heat is being used not only for electricity generation, but also for glasshouses, milk processing and worm farming. The bus will depart from the NZ Clean Energy Centre at 2:30pm and return by 5:30pm. NOTE: This field trip is on the afternoon of October 13, the day before the Energising Biomaterials workshop.

There will also be a complimentary networking reception from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, Oct 13 in the atrium of the NZ Clean Energy Centre.
