A potent mix of stimulating modern thought, research, and experience. Pioneering thinking in physics, general medicine and psyco-pharmacology. Come be stimulated by a potential new vision of the self.

On behalf of the Ashton Wylie Charitable Trust we invite you to participate in the 2011 conference; Science, Consciousness and Spirituality: Know Thyself Perspectives of Consciousness Beyond the Body, which will be held in Auckland in October.

International experts and leaders will be gathering for New Zealand’s largest conference on science consciousness and spirituality.

In this conference a leading scientist, a psychopharmacologist and a GP will explore the idea of consciousness as the ground of our being and whether the possibility of consciousness continuing after physical death is a rational one.

We will be looking at our new understanding of quantum physics and the benefits of accessing non-ordinary states of consciousness.

Key note speakers include:

- Dr Amit Goswami - He is a pioneer of the new paradigm of science called “science within consciousness”. He has written many popular books based on his research on quantum physics and consciousness.

- Dr Ede Frecska - Chief of psychiatry at the National Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Budapest, Hungary, a co-author of Inner Paths to Outer Space, and a contributing author to Psychedelic Medicine. He is a member of several professional organisations (APA, ECNP, CINP), and has received grants and awards from a variety of sources (NARSAD, NIAA).

- Dr Manjir Samanta Laughton - MBBS Dip Bio-energy (MD in USA) is an international speaker and author of several books. She trained as a medical doctor and GP in London. Whilst at medical school she turned from sceptic into mystic when she had an unexpected spiritual awakening aged 18 years. In 2006 her first book, Punk Science was published, and it has received worldwide acclaim.

As part of the conference programme, on Sunday you will also be able to attend 1 of 6 experiential (2 hour) workshops on the following topics:

1. Life between Lives, The Newton Institute - Peter Smith
2. Gong Bath Immersion, Entering an altered state with ease - Beatrice Pritchard
3. Consciousness and The Body: Soma and Psyche - Dr Louisa Walker
4. An introduction Hemi-Sync® (audio guided sound technology), The Monroe Institute - Irene Blanck
5. TBA - Tracy Livingstone
6. Video by Nassim Haramein - “Crossing the Event Horizon”

The conference will be held on the evening of Friday October 28 at the Hopetoun Alpha in Auckland City, and all day October 29 and 30 2011, at the Auckland University of Technology, Akoranga Campus, Auckland. Morning/afternoon teas and lunch is provided for the weekend intensive.
