Webb's

Webb’s is delighted to once again present an outstanding and substantial sale of art and artefacts from Africa and Oceania. Maori and Pacific material has been consigned from collections across the globe, offering a wonderful opportunity to access material not previously seen on the New Zealand Market. A further consignment of African art and artefacts has also been released to us from the collection of prominent New York dealer Merton D. Simpson.

One of the most interesting items in the sale is an 18th century embroidered silk waistcoat that has led its last three custodians to the irresistible conclusion that it once belonged to Captain James Cook.

On view now - 9:30 - 5:30pm.
