This concert will feature a wide range of performances from the the 2012 Young Musicians Programme. There will be performances from YMP chamber music ensembles who are competing in the NZ Community Trust Palmerston North and Wellington contests, as well as a selection of music from YMP Classical Wind, Voice and Piano class students.
NZSM Young Musicians Programme (YMP) was established in 1999 to enhance the opportunities available to gifted young musicians to prepare for future tertiary study in music. YMP is an auditioned Saturday programme designed to supplement regular private tuition and the school music curriculum. Students work with the cream of New Zealand’s performers, composers and music educators as well as overseas visitors and faculty from the New Zealand School of Music.
This concert will be held in the Adam Concert Room on the NZSM's Kelburn Campus at Victoria University of Wellington.
