KFC in association with its new oven-grilled chicken range, KFC Grilled, is proud to present the NZPWG Anita Boon Pro-AM at the prestigious North Shore Golf Club.

Now in its third successful year, this NZPWG organised event has quickly gained a reputation as being a must play event on the golfing calendar.

Susan Farron, board member of the New Zealand Professional Women Golfers’ Charitable Trust and former tour player agrees that KFC’s support this year has been a huge boost for the event.

This hugely popular event allows amateur golfers to play alongside New Zealand’s professional women golfers which this year is extended to two days allowing a mixed field to test their skills against the girls!

The men will have a tough challenge matching their drives against the big hitting former World Long Drive Champion Phillis Meti. World Number One Amateur Lydia Ko has confirmed her attendance, playing as a ‘Future Pro’ and with four Australian touring professionals travelling to play there is now an international flavour to the day.

Many former touring professionals and New Zealand representatives including Liz McKinnon, Gina Scott, Renee Fowler, Jan Higgins, Pam Greenhalgh and multiple New Zealand Amateur representative veteran Brenda Ormsby will also be competing for the top Pro prize.

KFC Grilled is proud to be a part of this charity event which is again raising funds for the New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation, the disease that ended the golfing future of former professional golfer Anita Boon.
