All Ages

Chartfest 2011 in association with SmokeFree, CCC, Zebedees and MAINZ presents a unique all ages show at Christchurch's longest running all youth venue Zebedees.

Tainted join special guests Dissolution, Azimuth and the winner of the Chartfest Band Search chosen earlier in the day for an unforgettable night of metal mayhem. Tickets only $5 on the door so get there early to ensure your spot up front.

Tainted make no bones about being one of NZ's best live metal bands. Equipped with two outstanding albums (The Awakening 2006, Carved and Created 2008) under their belts Tainted's commitment and determination and overwhelming musical presence has earned them the title of one of NZ's finest metal acts. Tainted have been leaving cities throughout New Zealand bruised, battered and thirsty for more of their dynamic and yet undoubtedly brutal sound. With radio play on The Rock, and Triple J (Aus) and their video receiving airplay on C4, Juice TV, Tainted are well on their way to becoming a historical name in New Zealand metal history.

With international endorsements from JacksonR Guitars USA (a New Zealand first) and Shure Wireless, opening for Metallica, Iron Maiden and playing Southern Amp twice (The South Island's biggest multi-stage outdoor music festival), playing the Auckland Big Day Out 2010 and many international supports and New Zealand tours with the likes of Trivium, Whitechapel, Unearth, Lord,The Black Dahlia Murder, Arch Enemy, Chimaira, Fear Factory, Blindspott, Parkway Drive, The Sword, Misery Signals, Psycroptic, The Berzerker, Krisiun, and more they are well on there way to doing so. 2011 will see Tainted re-enter the studio to record their 3rd album (yet to be named) and is promising to be one for the history books.

Joining the bill are Dissolution - a thrash metal band gaining a reputation for their intense live performances and their hard-working attitude. They have released their debut full-length album, Plague of Violence recorded at Nightshift studios and have supported Austalia’s Lord and Frankenbok, as well as NZ acts such as Subtract, Malevolence and Tainted. Their songs reflect a love of classic '80s thrash, and are inspired by bands like Kreator, Destruction, Exodus and Death. The dynamic twin-guitar interplay between the two guitarists gives their songs memorable hooks, while melodic interludes provide a refreshing balance to the ferocity of the riffs.
