Her Business hosts: Deborah Lyons and Diane Thornbury.

Keynote speaker: Amy Scott.

Amy Scott is a proud born and bred Central Otago girl. She is also a lawyer, and is recognised as having huge amounts of energy, enthusiasm and life experience.

Amy is passionate about bringing people in businesses and communities together. She is determined to see all of New Zealand "dotted".

Effective communication is the key to moving people and their teams forward in the current economic climate.

"Get Dotted!" also known as precognitive communication or "Dickson's Dots".

David founder developed "Get Dotted" because he felt there was a need for a simple and practical personality/communication model that lost little explanatory value as the result of simplification. In other words, this dots model was developed to specifically address the need for a simple measure that would make meaningful predictions without limiting the individual.

In a nutshell, consider the following questions:
Have you ever been accused of being a know it all? Or just too clever for your own good?
Have you ever been described as being too picky or far too fussy?
Have you ever been told that you have no feelings?
Have you ever been accused of being too sensitive?

"Get Dotted" will help you discover more about why you think and act the way that you do, and why other people are naturally different.

Yes, breakdowns in communication occur when one, both (or more) people expect, demand and/or assume. When people have an understanding of the different communication styles, they are less likely to expect, demand or assume.

Find out why some people seem to "rub you up the wrong way", or why you can manage and work with some people better than others. Find out what "dot" you are and what "dot" your staff are.

The agenda is as follows:
- 5.30 - 6pm: Registrations, informal networking mix 'n' mingle - wine and nibbles are provided;
- 5.45pm: Registrations close;
- 6 - 6.15pm: Welcome from Her Business and opening speaker;
- 6.15 - 6.50pm: Introduction to the keynote speaker;
- 6.50 - 7pm: Questions and close of the meeting .

You have two payment options available: credit card or via online banking. Prepayment is required before all Her Business events.

Only once the payment has been received, your registration will be confirmed. We are unable to issue a refund if under 3 business days before the event. You would need to advise us in writing, 3 business days prior to the event if you wish to cancel your registration and receive a refund, if paid. After this, we would have committed to catering plus other expenses. No transfers to the next meeting. Substitutes allowed. See our terms and conditions.

Registrations will close two days prior to the event with payment required, on the last day of registrations, or until sold out.

There is always the question, should I give Her Business Networking a go? Is this the right time? Well, that’s something that of course you’ll decide for yourself, but we believe that whether the economic climate is good, bad or ugly, you can never have too many business contacts. So give it a go, meet some great ladies, listen to some great speakers, learn something new, and enjoy your time out of the office!
