It’s pretty much holidays, so we’re back to warning you about lines if you come post 12pm, and more importantly our R20 back bar is returning, showcasing hip hop/experimental/ambient and we’ve got a massive line up including a dope live band headlining…

Somewhere between James Brown, Warren G, Reel Big Fish, Beastie Boys and Sublime lies Four Kings.

A unique blend of modern funk, jazz, rock, ska and hip hop, Four Kings are a breath of fresh air in Auckland. Their playful lyrics, humorous song titles like “Mephadrone Princess” show that they make dope tunes that don’t take it all too seriously. And perhaps that in part is why they are building up a great reputation for fun and energetic live shows all over Auckland. Don’t miss them live in their first Nark appearance.

Also on support in the main room, of Cassette’s Animals club night/George FM fame we have Matt Randomplay. Known for being a DJ’s DJ and mixing it up with a genre bending party set encompassing not only dope dance music but funk soul hip hop experimental and everything in between. Also on support we have our good friend Fektious AKA Fictitious- Mr Jono Legge as well as residents Sam Lost Boys and Daniel Farley.

In the back bar we have one of NZ’s foremost experimental producers/Supreme cap wearer Johnny Sable, joined by residents Mystery Guest (Thommy Lost Boys), Mad World and Jake & Josh.

So add that shit up and we have:

Four Kings (live)
Matt Randomplay
Johnny Sable
Jono Legge
Daniel Farley
Sam Lost Boys
Mystery Guest (Thommy Lost Boys)
Mad World
Jake & Josh.

9 acts. 9 acts! And that’s only the beginning of what we have in store in the build up until Christmas.

So this is the only place to be after the AUT Raw showcase, and also don’t forget Third & Social plays host to the AUT Rookie Fashion Show Afterparty this Friday with People Of Paris headlining, definitely not one to miss.

So come celebrate (or commiserate) your exam performance with a huge line up and the normal drink specials.
