Disabled Persons Assembly Palmerston North & Districts is proud to announce that Pam MacNeill Consulting is providing a personal development workshop for people with disabilities, maximum of 15 individuals, which we are currently seeking expressions of interest for.

Sign language communicators will be present at this meeting.

Note course does cost $81.00 but if you become a DPA member we will pay this Personal Development Course cost, catering provided.

Outline and purpose of workshop.

The Personal Development workshop will:

• Encourage participants to focus on their potential, not their impairment.
• Develop confidence about speaking out.
• Examine leadership potential and future development.
• Discuss the problem with mere problem solving.
• Explore facts, fears and myths about disability.
• Examine the issue of disability disclosure.
• Provide a personal perspective on achieving an ordinary but rich life.
• Show how development of leadership potential can lead in turn to employment success.
