CityDance

Learn the fun and sexy ballroom Latin dances with an experienced teacher and national adjudicator in the heart of Auckland City! Rumba/cha-cha-cha/samba/jive.

These are casual group classes (start any time!). The teacher and regular students are friendly and welcoming of new students of any standard. No partner required.

Classes are suitable for absolute beginners, and more advanced dancers who wish to improve their technique on basic figures.

When joining the class, let Yufen, the teacher, know whether you prefer an emphasis on steps or technique. Partners are typically rotated in class, so let the teacher know if you would prefer to dance only with your regular partner.

Any comfortable clothing is suitable. Snug-fitting flexible suede soled shoes with a medium heel are ideal, but any shoe which allows for easy swivelling is suitable (leather soled shoes for example). If you don't have a suitable pair of shoes, come along anyway - most start dancing in their street shoes, socks or even barefoot!

(Paso Doble lessons are available only in private lessons, not group ones. See www.dancemaker.co.nz for details.)
