NRG Rising - Fresh Female Funky Reggae Grooves! This original focused, energetic and driven band, NRG Rising has been around in the music scene for just over a year and are already making heads turn, people talk and the right people sitting back just noticing as the rising waves swirl among the myriad of talented Aotearoa reggae artists active in the country. With their very first single just released, they are definitely making an impact. Their unique fresh female sound and harmonies filling a niche market, women in reggae in New Zealand, and their upbeat, fun and friendly onstage persona is sure to leave you feeling uplifted, and considering the many possibilities in life. Many, just like you are now following this band’s journey with anticipation and excitement.

Check them out now heading to the East Coast! If you are anywhere along that Coast make a trip of it and head to Te Puka Tavern, Tokomaru Bay for a night of guaranteed fun and pleasure!

NRG is proudly supported by Ethnic Roots, Gizzy's very own!

Ethnic Roots - Featuring Mahuta, Judah, Spider, Percy & Garth. A strong whanau group who have been a part of the Gissy muso scene for some time. With Mahuta upfront leading the vocals this group is ready to hit the mainstream NZ circut. They are hardout writing their own sound & are aiming to release their debut album early 2011. With father & sons trio Spider, Garth & Judah adding their hard-hitting sound together with Percy Robinson this group should promise an awesome night.
