A special Mother’s Day Concert is planned for Sunday 9th May by The Trusts Waitakere Brass Band at Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre, under the baton of Steven Booth.

The Trusts Waitakere Brass band are one of New Zealand’s finest brass bands. This concert is a new addition to The Band’s concert series but one which we would imagine will become a regular annual feature. This band always deliver a high quality entertaining show where audiences leave the venue wanting more and asking when the next one is.

A delightful musical programme, featuring the band, soloists and special guests The Show West Singers, has been selected for the afternoon which includes a selection of light and bright tunes chosen especially for Mums. There is something for everyone from light classics to Broadway Show Tunes.

Celebrate this special occasion and enjoy this elegant theatre venue. Make this a day to remember and surprise your Mum with an afternoon of great music and tasty treats. We will be serving afternoon tea in the supper room during the interval only $5 for tea coffee and home made scones with jam and cream. Plus our ‘Friends of The Band Club Members’ will receive a VIP invite to enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea with the players in the green room!! So if you are not a member of our Friends Club now could be the time to join, see our website for more details.

Please note the early starting time of 3pm. With a special raffle of fab prizes for Mums up for grabs this is an afternoon not to be missed.

Tickets will sell out fast for this one so don’t delay.
