The John Cage Project is an organ in Halberstadt that's been built in an old monastery to play one of Cage's compositions, called "As Slow As Possible", as slow as possible. This 20 minute composition has been stretched over 639 years - the expected life of the organ, meaning the notes only change every few years. In fact one note will last for 70 years.

Ryan Knighton decided to travel to Halberstadt to hear the change of the note -- to travel through a sense other than sight, as a monument to his own impending sightlessness. Director Scott Smith hoisted a camera and went with him. What started as a pilgrimage to hear a note change became an experience about embracing change itself.

Join Ryan and the Documentary Channel’s Samantha Blackley for the Australasian premiere and Q&A.
