Screenings of the 20 finalists and selected short movies in MovieFest 2007. Come and watch the best movies from hundreds of competitors around the country, in the national awards ceremony and screenings for New Zealand's best digital short movie festival and competition.

Teams of school children and hobbyists had 6 weeks to produce 3-5 minute short movies in the topic 'In Retrospect' - and you get to come watch them - screenings all day from 10am with grand finals and awards ceremony at 3:30 to 5pm. All free entry.

The Awards Ceremony will consist of the three category awards, and an overall prize:

Phill Simmonds of the Simmonds Brothers Animation Studio, who has just completed a short animated movie that has been entered for selection in the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in the United States, will give a presentation during the Awards Ceremony of the process involved in the making of their movies.

Additionally, Carol Bean, a well known and popular musician resident in Wellington, will talk about and perform two of her own songs, 'Freeze Frame' and 'Eastbourne Jetty' that have recently been picked for the sound track of a Hollywood movie called ‘Player 5150’.

A live webcam will be running on the event page.
